What was your first bike?

RE: What was your first bike?
Started out renting Honda 50 for like $25 for 24hrs Our 18yr old buddy would rent it for us we were only 15 We would take turns riding it around the block. When I turned 16 I talked my dad into buying me a Yamaha 80cc I thought I was moving up. I rode that for about a year until it siezed up on me. Not enough oil in the gas. When I was 19, I was already married and received a law suit settlement from a car accident and bought a 1967 Triumph TR650 No key or battery, Just kick and go. Had to chain it up to keep it secure (I also put a dummy keyhole on it) Had that bike 15 years - rebuilt it from the ground up twice. Had to sell, thought I was through riding. Two years later I bought a 79 Yamaha 650 Special - Japanese version of the Triumph, but it didn't leak oil. Had that bike 18 years. Gave it away to my brother in law last year when i finally bought my Harley. Always rode bike, but always wanted a Harley. Finally could afford one. Loved all my previous bikes, but nothing like this Harley, its the best.

1964 or 65 Bridgestone 90 Street
I remember it had a low pipe and was geared for street riding. I was 12 years old and only rode it off road. It wasn't very good for hill climbing but on a long straight away - I could get up some speed.
I sure wish I had some pictures of me with that bike -
Found a pic of one on the internet:

Mine was 1967 CL-160 Honda Trail bike. 161cc. I'd just turned 17. Spent about $650 for a brand new one and I was so excited I could hardly stand myself. Had a couple of good friends how also got them that year.
I been through a number of others, but none, including the latest H-D, quite generated the kind of pride and excitement I had when I picked it up in Fredericjksburg VA that day.

Igot my first bike in 1969, a 64, BSA C15 (250cc). In those days there was no training, you just got a provisional licence, stuck on a couple of L plates and rode. I didn't have a clue, fell off that bike more times than I care to remember.

RE: What was your first bike?
First bike was a 1970 Kawasaki 90 , after seizing her up and reboring I believe 3 times there was no more metal left for another bore job , finally figured out my problems , rejetted and put on a Kawi 100 cylinder / piston and all was well until I sold her a few years later , was replaced by a spanking new Honda CB400F , YAHOO!

First bike was a Honda trail 90. Dad helped my put a straight pipe on it and rejet the carb. Liked loud pipes at the age of 11. Not so sure my mother did though. Ahh yes, good memories!
