What was your first bike?

RE: What was your first bike?
My first bike was a mini-bike with a 5 hp briggs & stratton pull start motor. There was no suspension except the tires and the brake was a friction brake(foot pedal attached to metal pad that was pushed against the rear tire). There was a centrifugal clutch with a 2 speed gearbox. The kill button was a metal tab attached to the engine block with a point on it used to penetrate the sparkplug boot so as to ground the spark. I beat the hell out of that thing. I got pulled over by the county sheriff for riding on the road once also. The next bike was a 72 Honda SL100 trailbike (street legal). I rode that one into the ground, one day I was going down the rode at about 50MPH when the engine seized. I was to freaked out to pull in the clutch and rode it to a stop sliding the back tire. The next bike was a Yamaha 125 enduro. It was fun on the trail, but it was so heavy on the front end, that you could not pull a wheelie. Damn, that brought back a whole lot of memories, those were some carefree days.........

RE: What was yo ur first bike?
When I was about 12 I bought a 80 cc Yamaha street bike for about $150, can't remember the model number, but I abused that poor bike. Treated it like a motorcross, drove the neighbors crazy going round and round our circular drive way for hours.., what a blast I had.
From there went to a Yamaha 185 in my teen years, then a GS750 for my crotch rocket years, to a Vstar and now a RD King.
Loved them all, but this one is a keeper .

Kawasaki F9 BigHorn 350 cc single cyl 2 stroke dirt bike. Around 73 or so.
Big enough you could ride it at highway speeds on the superslab.
That thing would shake the $hit out of you but it would climb a hill so steep you couldn't hang on.
