RE: What was your first bike?
My first Bike was a 66 XLCH, **** gold metalflake paint, tillotson carband a 8over front fork,we picked it up in a town that looked like you needed a glock gun by your side, It was 2 months prior to my 17th birthday, the bike was lifted into the back of my older friend Larry'sstepsidetruck and brought home.
we unloaded it and after about 50 Kicks she fired up, of course I now made about 100 trips up and down the block making the suburban neighbors real happy! the power felt like a V Rod at that time and the sound was awesome. after several paint jobs and every style from Ness Bay Areato custom stock, I still have the bike, she ran best with Sifton HH cams and XLR valves...

1993 883 sportster. I bought it new in Sep 92. First bike I ever rode. I can still remember the dealer calling and letting me know the bike was in. (remember when you had to order a harley, and 4-8 months after ordering it, it came?) I still have that bike, but now I just ride it to take the kids for a 1/2 mile ride every once in a while.

Wow, does this bring back memories (or horror stories depending how you remember these things) ! My first bike was a well used 1976 Honda CB 500T, chocolate brown, verticle twin, kick/electric start. Rode that for a year or two before moving on to a Honda 750 4-cylinder and then my first Sportster in 1982. If I had to do it all over again, I think I'd find a different first bike.

Honda 70 with the fat knobby tires. My brother saved for it and my dad pitched in for the rest. It was a hand me down, but I loved that little bike. I think I was about 5 years old when he got it.
