Hangin Yo Mirrors Upside Down...
on your apes that is.
i like the look of it for some reason and i've got 16"ers on the way and i was wondering...
how's that work for you guys that have em that way? it seems like you wouldn't be able to avoid just looking at your arms.
and how do you make it look 'pretty' on top of the bars? is there some chrome hardware or something special you guys use or just the stock hardware and just flip the mirrors over?
thanks...

I thought about it when I installed mine but ended up mounting them regularly. I think I prefer them this way, they're high enough that they don't block your vision. I find myself looking under my bars for traffic in corners and if the mirrors were there they would cause a bit of a blind spot. I'm not sure, it's just a thought.
I you do go that way I'd be interested to find out how you like it.

rabbit, i'll tinker with the idea when i get the bars on and let ya know what i think.
skim, i think that's the only reason i'd mount them regularly. i just think the hardware would be way to ugly upside down.

I have tried mounting them upside down but couldn't really see out of them very well. I also am looking under the bars as I have the Wild1 20"s.

I ran my mirrors upside down way back in the 70's. Back then, I was a pup, and had a H-D SX175 (dual purpose). They fit snug against the bars (off-road style) and not only looked good, but really worked a lot better. Looking at my forearms never did anything for me. Still doesn't.

Have had them both ways.
If you look around in some of the indys or small shops, sometimes you can come acrossed just the right one, for your scoot. And it'll look and work like a million bucks.
Try it on the next one, it looks like chit and you can't see a darned thing.
Someitmes a straight works best, and sometimes an angled one, turned backwards is just the ticket.
The ones I liked best underneath, was a straight, barely under the grip, on a set of 16"s. And they looked GREAT on it.
If you find one that 'works', they look GOOD, IMFUO.
Like you posted, play 'round with it.
