man that sounds like fun, spendin some time polishin the bike instead uf riding it.
dont ferget to put some dressing on the tires when yur dun...
ah just caint abide by dull, lifeless forks, nor tires neighter.

I'm with HD7585, I had a sporster in 1985 and the forks looked like crap so I stripped the clear coat off and polished it. just every once in awhile hit it again . I think it looked better than chrome too HD

For about $40 or so, you can get the entire polishing kit from J&P.
Strip 'em and polish.
IF you really go bonkers, use Blue Magic for steel, jus' like Mothers for alum-i-mum.
Midnite, you ? why ppl call 'em, 'front' forks. It is just like ppl saying 'hot' water heater. IF it is 'hot', what do you want to heat it for? Bwahahaha

You have to get the finish off before you can do a thing.Aircraft stripper will take care of that.Then it's up to you what finish you want.Unless you are set up to polish metals it can be frustrating.Good Luck.
