I Believe the difference between the 103 and the 110 is about 7 cubic inches. I have the 110 on my bike and have not had any engine problems, knock on wood. over all I am very satisfied with the performance, with just a few upgrades, like exhaust, K&N heavy breather and fuel processor, mine is dynoing at 113 RWHP at 4800rpm, and 116LBS /FT torque at 2900rpm. I am looking for sometime in the future to change the cams, but need to decide what I want to do when changing.

Wake up your 96" with the AF/SERT/Pipes/Dyno session. This offers the very best hp/tq improvement VALUE. Take your savings and buy a clean used Yammy VMAX for the occasional wild-hair-gotta-haul-azz hanker'n.

I just did the 103" stage 2 and went w/110" pro heads. Going in tuesday for tune/dyno. I have ridden a '08 se dyna and compared to mine even tho I'm breaking mine in I think the 110" falls short on power. The se dyna I rode was stock except for pipes. With the extra $$$ it takes to do the 110" I think the 103" stage 2 is the best bang for your buck. my.02

So Diesel, you have a stock 96" and what mods have you done to "wake" it up, as suggested above. These are options which I have explored/contemplted-- K&N or Arlen Ness "Big Sucker", Bub 7 slip-ons and the PC III. I am going from a Suzuki Katana(I can hear the laughters).

My adding a louder horn and fog lights are where the real speed came from, no but seriously, I just had the Scream'n eagle air filter, race tuner and Rinehart slip ons (09 after market pipes are not very avail yet-I will go 2 into one pipes when available) and a dyno tune. We are talking hundreds instead of thousands of dollars installed and all can be used in the 103 or 110 build later if you want. This simple 96" pump-up will get you a nice power bump up, sound nice thru the pipes, and adjust your A/F ratio so the bike runs cooler. I had an expensive 103 build on my 05 Fatty, it hauled ***, got MAYBE .10 on the dollar for that money when I sold it. Its really a no lose situation, like I said the parts can be used in your 103-110 build anyway. Anyhoooo...

Bagman, was that the HD's SE set up or after market? have not seen those #s for the SE set-up anywhere.

Its aftermarket, the only thing that is HD is the sert. Other than the 510 cams and 10:1 forged J&E pistons, are the heads were surfaced and cleaned up a bit for better flow and the FI was increased to about 50-51 mm. True duals with Kuryakin anti reversion mufflers. I think the key is getting it tuned correctly. My guy has been doing HD's for 40 years
