Shotgun across my back....
#22
Since my Harley is my daily driver, I use it to go to hunting club (buddies haul the deer back if I kill one) which is just over an hour drive. I hunt with a 6.8 SPC Ar-15 which is either strapped to my back or strapped to a t-bag depending on how long I will be hunting. So far, apart from some funny looks, I have not had any trouble.

I do also drive a big ol' truck and a minivan, but the point of carrying a shotgun over my back was just so people would see me and stop trying to run me over or off the road!!

Gave up hunting around here So Maine, a long time ago.Houses and subdivisions are literally everywhere, not to mention the trigger happy shoot at anything that moves crowd. With all the cell phone junkies and 911, it is not worth taking a chance displaying any weapon today.Better off with permit and concealed.

I don't know of too many cagers like to screw with my Megacab but there are a few out there who need stamped on the forehead with a "stupid stamp"!

Then, if they did see you...they would still run you off the road because they would be distracted while they compare it to the one they carry themselves.

Heck, I've had a carry permit since 1971 (before most of you were born). I carry all the time, either my S&W Mdl 19 .357 or my little .380, never had a problem, except once. Had a guy reach into my cager and try to unlock the door, big mistake, hammer back and looking down the barrel of a .357. End of story.
