Victory (Right side drive)
Harley (Left side drive)
I guess it's not all that big of a difference, but I say the belt drive belongs on the left side damn it! Also, I paid about half of what a new Victory costs for my Harley. That said, styling is all a matter of taste.

They make an interesting looking bike. I don't like all their models, but the same goes for HD. Not sure I'd want to own a Victory, but then again having never ridden one, I don't really know....I might like it.

A friend of mine has an 08 Victory Kingpin Low. We ride together quite often. They are nice bikes, well made and he says it handles great. I've got nothing bad to say about them. I'd like to ride his bike but the subject has never come up ...... he has said that he loves the looks and sound of my Heritage and wishes he had bought one though.

I like the look of the 8 Ball too. But the Victory Vision I've seen up close and on the road - it's one FUGLY ride!

They look like a metric to me. Polaris builds cheesy snowmobiles with great motors that are manufactured right here in the states. Looks to be the same with their motorcycles. I agree that they should dump Arlen Ness. What's so great about that guy? And the Vision is destined to be the Edsel of the motorcycle world.
I'd buy one of those new Triumph Thunderbirds before I laid out eighteen fresh for a Victory. Anybody have a picture of one of those to post here?

Ask and you shall receive!
From an MC article
Triumph revealed its new Thunderbird 1600 cruiser at a dealer conference yesterday. Details remain scarce, but we do know it has a 1594cc engine making something in excess of 100bhp, belt drive and an unnecessarily large 200/70-18 rear tire. Aside from competent handling that’ll be spoiled by that big tire, the looks indicate a depressingly boring Harley clone. Yes, we know it has an ugly parallel twin, but honestly, cover it up with your thumb and you can’t tell the difference between the Thunderbird and every other generic cruiser made in the last 20 years. Come on Triumph, you can do better. More details will be announced in the new year and more pictures, if you really care, after the jump.
