What to protect a tan leather seat?

Any decent leather conditioner will do the trick. Harley has one, but you can also get it at just about any decent shoe repair shop. Just tell them you want a good conditioner and they'll steer ya right

I have built scooter seats and all I ever use on them is Kewi boot polish. If your seat is tan, use the neutral color polish. It will darken it just a little and it wont dry out the natural oils in the leather. Just brush it on and then brush it off, take a clean rag and buff it out. Shiny and protected.
Just my 2 cents worth.

OK.. almost all leather products sold for conditioning and sealing leather are totally useless! Leather is skin and it has pores that need to breath.. if you use products that clog those pores, it will literally sufocate the leather and it will dry out below the surface and rot, then crack. I learned this from a leather company... the very best product they recommended for leather was 303 Aerospace Protectant... and after using it for quite some time now, I can totally see why. Best there is. Period.
EDIT: Has UV protection too... I'm gonna' try and give you more info... hang on... OK this isn't what I was looking for but this guy only deals in motorcycle leather... good info on this page
