Not to mention space for a small cot for when your OL thinks you love the bike more than her......... you may have to sleep out there on occasion.

I built a 16x24 last year. Should have gone 24x30.

What is the consensus about storing a bike in these wooden sheds over the winter w/o any climate control. I plan on storing both my bikes in one of these soon and just wondering what the benefits are over the drag specialties covers I have been using over the summer. I mean it certainly will be just as cold in there as outside, or damn near it.

Worst thing is drastic temperature changes, condensation, I used to put an open bag of charcoal near the bike when I had to store it that way. They sell buckets now with a chemical that does the job.

Don't ask me how I know.
listen to this guy he knows what he speaks. My first was a 10x12, lasted 8 years the second is 16x24. It does have two bikes in it but thats beside the point. I out grew the first one within 2-3 years. The old one now has the lawn mower and snowblower in it.

Go with the largest you can afford you wont be sorry.

I'd want to insulate it (cheap enough) and be sure it has good screened vents. Then I'd want at least a portable heater
to even out the temps. Condensation from a closed and unheated building can ruin a bike. At least a regular attached
garage, when insulated, has some stability in temps and humidity even if not actually heated.

$.02.

PS Congrats on getting a new bike and good luck getting everything set up.

Yeah, as the weather as gotten cooler I have already noticed condensation when I take the cover off in the morning. The problem is my shed is far away from the house and it's not wired for electric. My next house will have a garage, but that's a few years away yet. I know I will have to make do, but I'm a stickler about keeping my stuff looking good.
