I use an old Army Green Field Jacket Liner under the jacket... keeps me toasty.

As noted Gerbings makes the HD heated clothing and will cover warranty work when HD's expires. There is one advantage to buying direct from Gerbings. While HD sell the clothing in small, medium, large, ex large, Gerbings sell the clothing by chest size and in the case of jacket liners by a combination of chest size and sleeve length (example - you can get a 39-40 chest size with a 29-30, 31-32, 33-34, or 35-36 sleeve length).
As the heated clothing really needs a snug fit to transfer heat properly buying the proper chest size really becomes an advantage. Additionally, if you're gonna buy the heated jacket liner (which I would recommend over the vest) you get to buy the proper sleeve length also buying from Gerbings.

WOW! Maybe I'm old school (and cheap), but this is what I do:
Warm weather - Boots, Jeans, T-shirt
Cool weather - Boots, Jeans, Hoodie or leather jacket, light gloves, stocking cap
Cold weather - Boots, Jeans with silk long johns and chaps, silk long john shirt, long sleeve t-shirt, hoodie with leather jacket, gaunlet gloves, balaclava over my head.
My boots are thinsulate and gore-tex, gaunlets are thinsulate. I ride until it is below 32 or there is salt on the road. I ride a RK and have fork deflectors and soft lowers for the cold, also.
