All of the 2009 Touring Bikes have had the exhaust pipes redone. It is not a problem at all. I have been riding mine for over 3000 miles now in 100+ temps. It is just not an issue. I don't ride in a lot of stop and go traffic but occasionally I do. For me, the exhaust thing was a deal breaker. If they had not redone the exhaust system on the 2009 models I was not prepared to buy one. In fact, I believed there was a good probability that they would bring out a Touring bike water pump version for 2009.

After 3000 miles I can truthfully say it is the best motorcycle I have ever owned or riden. It is a dream to ride.

 

Quite an assumption. No we are not riding around in short, No chaps either. but we do wear riding gear and boots. There has to be something that can be done to help minimalize the heat for the rider. The wife loves to ride, but she talking about not getting back on my Ultra until I do something. I have felt the leg of jeans and she is right. She is getting cooked back there. Anyone found anything that helps. I understand chaps would help. I just dont leather on a hot day as an option at the moment.

 

I have no heat issues with mine. And the temperature got all the way to 60 the other day too! Absolutley thong weather!
