Default Diehard a good battery, decent price?

Are Diehard batteries good? I am looking for a good battery at a resonable price. Its for 2002 Softail. Thanks

IMO Diehards used to be good batteries, but are no longer. My personal experience is that the battery you by from HD will outlast anything else. I typically get 3-4 years out of the HD battery and 2-2.5 years out of aftermarket batteries. YMMV

If it's a sealed battery go for it.....If it's the old acid type with caps and a overflow hose don't bother. I prefer glass matt ...they last forever almost. Mine is going on 6 years

My HD battery is going to be 7 years next month, and is still going strong. I recommend sticking with HD.

page 774 in the 2009 catalog shows part #65989-97B for '97 & later Softails, $116.95.

If I'm not mistaken, the batteries are made by Exide. The one in my 02 Ultra lasted four years.

I just paid 149.95 for a HD battery for my Electra Glide. They went up in price about 2 months ago $40 But I got 7 years out of my last one with the use of a battery tender. They say they double the life of your battery.

Last I knew (course things change) there were only 3 battery manufacturers but many different labels. Generally, better the warranty better the battery in my experience, cost hasn't meant crap.
