Default Buying my first new Harley

Guys/Gals:
I wanted to get some help as I am buying my first new Harley. I have bought used bikes, but never from a dealership. I am impressed with the improvements in the 2009's and going to buy a new Ultra Classic. I live in the Chicago area and curious since bikes are not moving are dealer's discounting off of MSRP? I am going to trade my 2002 Heritage so that may impact the willingness to deal off the selling price. I appreciate any suggestions or opinions on how best to negotiate with the local dealers in the area.
Thanks Brother's and Sisters'

Bike's are "not moving?" Last I heard sales were way up, apparently due to gas prices. I just checked some online newspaper articles and they say the same.

SOS far as I can tell. In this area, some dealers are moving bikes, some are not. All has to do with their willingness to make a fair deal.
That being said, I have also noted used bikes are moving from the dealers showrooms and they are paying good money, (read..better than usual prices) for good used trades.

09 Touring bikes are flying out of the dealers doors where I live. The only good deals are for the dealer selling them. I'd wait till Dec. or Jan. You might have a little more negotiating power. Good Luck on whatever you decide.
