Well I read the original post twice to see if I was missing sarcasm or something. But if you want a smooth idle and a water cooled bike-plenty of metrics are available.

My WideGlide vibrates just the way i like it. If I wanted a "nice smooth" Honda, I would have bought a Honda.

while sitting at the light behind them I thought that trunk-thing AND passenger seat were gonna FLY OFF and land on my ROAD KING....
they were VIBRATING THAT BAD!

So between the HEAT AND the vibrating, I have NO doubt that those two guys lost 5 lbs of weight! (which is not a bad thing!)

I just don't get it, I guess........ why do they want these Harleys VIBRATING that much ?!?

I want a bigger HARLEY, maybe a touring model, but I don't want any bike if it's gonna vibrate to that extent.........

I'm not bashing H-D, I have one and love it, but what's the DEAL?????

I truly believe that issue is forcing some buyers to the metrics..........
I guess I'll just keep my DELUXE for now.............

Oh, and the ONLY reason I even brought this up is because one of my friends bought a 2009 HONDA VTX1800 and I rode it.......

HATE to say it on this forum, but it rode, shifted, performed and "sat" better than than any HARLEY I've ridden....... just my feeble opinion, of course!

I'd really like to see Harley go with "liquid" cooling and more "counter-balancing"!

H-D, ARE YOU LISTENING ??? ANYBODY THERE ?

I did suggest that to one of the factory guys but he acted as though he was offended, which I certainly didn't mean to do.

Just a thought!
It would appear that Harley has been more than successful in the last 105 years,, I can assure you Honda wished they had that vibrating RK in their line up instead of that volkswagon sounding dual pin 1800.

You can't tour on your counterbalanced deluxe compared to an 1800 Honda VTX,,, no brainer in my book??

H-D should use that for marketing to reluctant female passengers! They'd probably end up getting one of their own.

My wife will shoot me if she sees this, but.......

The last time we were on the highway riding, she was in the front on her Sporty and kept varying speeds for a few miles, then settled down at a constant 57-58mph. When we stopped for fuel, I asked her why she was speeding up and slowing down, and then settled on a upper-50s speed?

She said: "I was trying to find a speed where the vibration felt 'just right', and I finally found it!"

Yeah, my Dyna "shakes" a bit at idle, but not enough to blur my view in the mirrors. Feels like a Harley should to me. And it smooths out right nice when I roll on the throttle.
No buzzing at all, regardless of what speed I'm running down the road at. I can't imagine one of the touring bikes haveing MORE vibration than a Dyna, should be less.
