You're a star! I have been trying to track down that band for ages!

Not quite a Harley track, but how about Electric Ride by Captain Beefheart? Almost 'Electra Glide' - I can see a tv ad with a couple swinging along the highway...

 

Big Head Todd and the Monsters have a song titled "Kensington Line" that starts out with the sound of a Harley starting up and taking off.

 

Big Head Todd & The Monsters actually recorded the exhaust note from a Harley as the intro to Kensington Line on the record "Strategem". Great disc BTW. And they give credit to whose Harley it was in the liner notes. Sounds wicked.
