The 883 is where women usually go for, not many could handle the 1200 (not to mention some big twin guys, too)

Sportsters are great bikes, I still own my Ironhead and don't see why I would ever get rid of it. The Nightster is a great looking bike, but I think the price of a new 1200 Sportster is a little excessive. For $2000 more you can buy a Super Glide which will not depreciate near as quickly or as much.

If you really want a Nightster buy a used one. I have seen them in the DC craigslist for $7000 a couple of times in the past few months, most with very low milaege.

Greetings,

You won't see me on a Nightster or any Sporty for that matter. I've never cared for the styling and for the price of a new one, you can get a used Dyna or Softail that looks better.

I've always dreamed of owning a Superglide, and finally was able to do it, but if could afford it, I would love to have a Nightster as a second bike. Sit on a Sportster and one of the big Harleys and let your heart decide!

I'll NEVER sell mine...you won't be disappointed. It's also one of the most popular Harleys, if not the most popular these days.

No other bike in the Harley line-up has the fun factor of the Nightster. I ride every day, & 99% of my riding is on 2 lane roads, some with long straight stretches & some with lots of twisties. The nightster will take your breath away winding through the gears, & handle like a dream going through the curves. If I spent most of my time on 4 lane highways, or did a lot of 2-up riding, I would consider one of the touring bikes. Bottom line-the Nightster is a true Hot Rod both in looks & performance.

Yeah I love mine as well. It was my first bike though and the only other bike I have to compare it to is a Deluxe. I have ridden a deluxe for several hours at a time, now it just sits in the garage and I ride it when my GF bugs me about wanting to go ride, or to keep the battery charged. I would take the Nighty over the Deluxe any day of the week.

These are the only bikes I have ever ridden though. Next up, I will probably rent a VRSCDX - Night Rod Special for a Saturday romp and see if I like it enough to trade out the Nighty.

If I could afford another bike, the Nightster would definitely be my choice. It's a sweet looking bike, especially in black.

The Nightster is a cool-looking bike and I'd love to have one in addition to my Fat Boy, but the wife says I already have too many toys. Her opinion, not mine.
