Default CoLoRaMa/Tomahawk rally this weekend

Colorama/Tomahawk rally in Tomahawk Wi. There is a Harley plant there and they lead in a parade on Fri. & Sat. 'Little Sturgis' as it's called too. Held on the weekend closest to the 15th Sept. 100,000 bikes and happens over Fri.&Sat. Downtown is closed off and bike parking only with live music and vendors. 3 of us are riding down from northern MN and meeting with some bros. riding up from the twin cities, @ Rice Lake Harley-Davidson. Back in the day, it was called Colorama as it was held on the 1st weekend of Oct. and coincides with the leaves turning. This year it looks like a wet Thurs. ride there.

Who is going and where ya riding from?

I'll be leaving Eau Claire around 11:30 on Friday morning. I've never been up there for this so I'm pretty excited. Probably just staying for the day unless I can find a cute girl to share the tent with.

For you guys that have been there before are there any good bars or places to go that you would recommend?

Hopefully it doesn't snow on us like last year

Might stop up Saturday to hang out with a few friends -- I only live about 45 minutes away. I'm not going up for the duration anymore.

Last year was ridiculous with the traffic. I spent about as much time sitting/idling in traffic as I did riding each day. Other than some barely remembered boozin' and partying I didn't have that much fun last year. Or maybe I did but I just can't remember.

Have fun fellas!

It's about a 4 hour ride for me. I'll be heading north in the early afternoon from Milwaukee.

Thumbs up good bars

If you want a good bar try Gators , They have Karoke both nights . We left early friday someone did a large burnout , with the smoke pouring into the open bar door . He backed up to the door , maybe it was two years ago .

I'm leaving tomorrow around 7am. Should be about a 4 hour ride. Going with the Fiance's family and I guess in the 220 miles they are planning on stopping 3 times, So I might end up riding alone.
We aren't staying in Tomahawk, just in a town closeby since it was alot cheaper for hotels.

Cool I might have to check those out. My main objectives are riding some of the 09 Harleys and making it to the HD Plant tours. Friday is supposed to be nice weather so It should be a good day to get up there.
