Myrtle beach rally update
hey everybody,
i was at myrtle beach on line and the city council of myrtle beach is getting very, very serious about ending the rallies. listed below is just a quick run down of what the council is planning on doing.
loud pipes - above a certain reading this will be illegal and grounds to impound your bike
helmets and goggles -required within city limits and if you don't, grounds to impound your bike
bars close at 2am
no loitering in parking lots
no drinking in parking lots, like at the dog house
no food in parking lots
no tables in parking lots
no parking of trailers on the street
this is just a SHORT over view, but you get the picture. there will also be no vendors at broadway at the beach or the inlet mall. so far the only places for vendors is barefoot landing and hard rock park.
we still plan on attending, but we are going to stay away from the city of myrtle beach. but if we do go into the city, it will be only for year round biker friendly establishments. my opinion here is we should all do the same. plan to attend the rallies, but stay away form the city. maybe they will get the picture then.
ride safe and keep the rubber side down

Aww, c'mon. Go anyway. Someone has to pay their salaries. You want the local taxpayers to foot the WHOLE load? Geesh. Talk about 'selfish'.

Federal law is just that. State laws can conflict with it but you'd still be breaking federal law. Same with county and city laws on down the line. If the state made it illegal to wear a helmet then no matter what the city did you'd still be breaking state law. Since there is no state helmet law the city law rules.

MB has seen my last dollar.
They are letting us all know Loud & Clear that they don't want us around and that they will do everything in their power to harrass us. They can legally harrass us and we really have no recourse unless a well funded group decides to fight it. So F them!
