Which bike to buy? Help!
Hello all,
I currently own a Honda VT750C2 and I have some $$ invested in it (paint, pipes, jet kit, hyper charger, ..) nice bike, comfortable ride. .. The one issue I have is that I find myself wanting more power and performance. I would like to find something that fits me as well as the honda does, (seat height weight, ..). I don't do any touring as most of my rides are day trips and not usually more then 4 or 5 hours total. I do a lot of local trips and running around to the gym, friends houses, etc.
I have just started looking and and the Sportster 1200N Nightster seems to fit me well. However, I have read as much negative as I have positive about this bike. I do like the "chopped up" look of the bike though. ... Does anyone have any recommendations as to which bikes I should look at and does anyone have any other feedback about the sportster 1200?
As always, any help is appreciated!

I have a 2008, 1200 Custom. Overall, I am very happy with it. Great for a commuter bike, very maneuverable in town. I have not done any long trips on it, 2 hours is probably the most I have spent in the seat, but I wouldn't hesitate to do longer (just have to get some time off of work). Lot's of accessories, like seats and other things that can make the bike more comfortable for your taste. I also considered the Nightster, but after looking some more, liked the Custom better.

the nightster is the most uncomfortable bike on the market since.... rigids. if you value a smooth ride you wont like the nightster.
you can upgrade the saddle, add forwards, change bars, and get better suspension. and when you've finished you'll no longer have a nightster. and, you could have gotten a more suitable bike for less investment.
