I have a handicaped plate.....but I also have to ride 3 wheels now....

I wouldn't be too quick to jugde........hopefully it's not someone taking advantage of the system......I've met several severly disabled people who don't appear to be that way at first glance.......

I was given 20 questions many times for ridin' the hog after major surgery last year (organ removed). Walking wasn't easy (distance), but short trips on the scoot were a breeze..., any experienced rider knows that ridin' a Harley can be effortless.

I'm fine now, so I never had a special plate.

handicapped plates have to be approved by a Doctor. We have them for the car and truck. My oldest son has cerebral palsey. He's not confined to a wheelchair like most kids but can't walk long distances. I've been riding him around town on the roadking a little. He loves it. I won't be getting handicapped plates for the bike.

I don't use a hadicap plate but I am disabled 15 years and was down a long time!!
I use a placard in my truck. The privledge of riding should not be restricted to abnyone that xcan handle it,and it may be whats keeping me from going POSTAL!!!

I was going to mention the Reverend Kaiser, but somebody beat me to it. I used to have one of his t-shirts that I got from him at a swap meet. He moved to FL some years back, and I heard that he had passed, although I don't know for sure if that's true or not.

I intend to get a handicap tag as well. Of course, missing an arm it's fairly obvious why I'd be parking my ride in a handicapped spot!

I have seen disabled plates on many bikes, mostly Harley's, went on a charity ride this past Christams and the guy not only had disabled plates but also pulled his cane out of a homemade cane holder he rigged up! Hey gotta ride, right?

I would have questioned it myself. But after hearing all you guys it amazes me. I guess you can do a lot of things that people would not think you normally could. I definitely have a different outlook now and I will not assume the plates were not legit.
