HD alarm is it worth it?
have a question.
the HD alarm, is it worth it? do you use it?
what type of other alarms is everyone using and your opinion of them.
i don't plan on leaving it everywhere but i have a parking garage where i can park it during work. i know if someone wants it they will find a way but it might slow them down or keep people from sitting on it.
thanks for the input

I dont have the audible alarm added yet , but the security system has a key fob that alarms the bike and the bike cant be started unless the fob is within a few feet of the bike ..

I have a Talon alarm and love it......small key fob controler....battery back up for alarm, shock and tilt sensors and proximity sensor......ignition kill, works great, easy install...and all for under 2 bills......

I have the HD audible alarm with the pager. The alarm first warns of tampering, then goes off. I just returned from a month on the road and only had a problem once. The tamper warning scared the asses off. The pager worked and I was at the bike in seconds. I always set the alarm. But, as will be said, if "they" want it they will get it.
My alarm worked.

Not a big believer in alarms on cars or bikes because of the false alarm/nuisance factor. PITA as far as I'm concerned. But hell, I could be wrong. Maybe they actually do prevent bike theft.

I have the H-D alarm, don't have it set for the siren because it's parked in a condo garage.....
I figure it disables the ignition and flashes the turn signals.......
as previously stated, professionals will overcome all alarms and just throw the damn bike in the back of a truck..... that's what my Insurance agent tells me.......
so I'd rather them steal it than tamper and damage it.

Have the audible alarm, and pager. I did accidentaly set the alarm off, doing some maintainance on the bike. I can tell you that thing is pretty fuc$ing loud My wife and daughter were on the other end of the house and could hear it real well!! My pager also went crazy at the same time.
I know if they want it they will get it, but I hope it will slow them down enough so I can "politely ask them to stop!!"
