Hi guys, a few days ago I made the mistake of leaving the engine switch on, on my 08 SG, obviously I ran out of juice, I jump started the bike with a truck with the engine running....came to find out I shouldn't have done that. Anyway, now when I run the diagnostics process I get the P1003 System Relay Contacts Open. The bike seems to be running as good as usual though.

What does it mean? And how do I get it fixed? Has anybody ever experienced this code before? Thank you! Any help is highly appreciated.

 

With the ignition key turned to the on position and the run / stop switch in the run position the check engine lamp will turn on for approximately 4 seconds and then turn off.

4 seconds later the lamp will turn on for 8 seconds and then turn off if there are historic DTC’s. If the lamp does not turn off then there is a current DTC.

If you your DTC code is historic you may clear it by pressing the speedometer reset switch for more then 5 seconds while viewing that code. This will reset all codes for that module.
