I noticed the trend towards baggers a few years ago. I see more EGs and RKs than any other bike on the road - period. I think if you want to do some decent mileage you need to have some wind protection. Of course, there will be exceptions.

When i had a RK I rode without fairing , unless it was love bug season , also used to laugh about a buddy and how important it was to get a stereo setup on his softail .... now have an Ultra and LOVE it , really even like the stereo!!! MUCH nicer in wet weather season.

In late '06 I bought my street glide, best decision I ever made. After trying to be the tough guy without a windshield, and riding my dyna out to Sturgis, something happened, I changed. I'm not a tough guy, I am a comfortable guy now

Personally, as I've gotten older I have tired of the constant wind blast. Plus I'm taking many longer trips. Much more comfortable! Just my 2 cents worth.

Why do you care? Just curious. Not that I should really care why you care. Now I'm getting confused.

Now I'm confused... Who am I???

Sold the big bagger and now trying to figure out what I should get this time around.
The wife wants a big bike for her 105 lbs. Told her she would be fine on something smaller as its easier to handle. Her point is most bikes are baggers, I should have one.

I am thinking a RK for me but she is right, most we see are fairing bikes.

What I notice is solo seat baggers. Does this mean gezzers are leaving their wives at home or did the wife throw them out with only the bike? If no wife, how are you going to pick up that closing time babe?

I call a solo seat a seat that has no rear seat for a gal, or a thin slit of leather that no gal would want to get on, or no sissy bar behind a seat that a young child would not be on.

I remember when no one who was "cool" would be caught dead on a bagger ..

"Real Bikers" didnt ride baggers , barges , or garbage wagons ..

I dont know if I'm a "real biker" or not and I doubt I'm "cool" anymore , just getting older and riding a garbage wagon ..

I could care less what people think about my rides .. I ride because it's something I have been doing all my life .. My bikes are for riding , and not to "be seen" ..

My baggers have been functional for the long haul .. Chrome dont getcha home ..
