AS you may know, the BP turns into Skyline Dr. In the Virginia area there are many Civil War Sites if you like history. remember as the leaf season coems so come the dreader "Leaf peepers" who will run you over in a heart beat. AS others have said, the Dragon, Hellbender 29 and the Cherohala are well worth doing as well as Shady Valley. Lots of great riding roades in western NC, eastern Tenn. Of couorse Va and WVA have great roads too.

Enjoy and ride safe

Is Wheels through Time still there? Or is this the last month. They are supposed to move at the end of this season. I have heard to Arizona but am not sure.

Best vacation I ever had! BR Parkway last year, stayed a week in Pigeon Forge, rode a different cool road everyday, BBq'd, Beer'd and Jaccizzied every night in a private cabin. Beautiful! Cant wait to do it again!

Little Switzerland has great accomindations and is biker friendly. The "Biker Lodge" I would reccomend if you were going to stay one night or two at the most. If you were staying there longer then one of the Chalets or even in the hotel itself. They have a wash area for motorcycles and breakfast is included in the room rate. Just google them and take a look. I would also reccomend reservations. Hope this helps.

Get ready for the twisties, some real neck bending twisties.
There's some neat caverns in the Front Royal area, if memory serves correct.

We rode it last week from Cherokee to Boone. Make sure you check the closures and detours, you might decide to ride a different section. Also, ditto on the speed...I think the speed limit is 45 to 50 mph on most of it. If you wanna ride fast, go someplace else.
