I see tributes to fallen bikers here all the time. It's too bad they have to pass on to (hopefully) a better place that has streets of gold and no dumbazzed cagers to get in the way. I say a prayer for all who have fallen and all those who still ride.

I would just like to say if I ever encounter a cager or unfortunate incident to pass me on I want all of you to know I passed a happy man and was smelling the ROSES of life. There are very few things in life that give me pleasure. Riding is near the top of my list and will remain there as long as I am able to keep the bike in a vertical position. So, do yourself a favor and go smell some ROSES today because tomorrow is not guaranteed....

well said brother. I always think of burt munro when he said "you live more in 5 minutes on a motorcycle like this than some people live their whole life". I agree. thats exactly how I feel. I hope I die warm in my bed when i'm 100, but not if it means I don't ride

 

Well said. Wife and I just got back from a beautiful ride in the country. I worry about her alot since she got her own bike and the only thing that stops me from pulling the plug on it is just what you said. She is just having so much fun I wouldn't dare take that away from her.

 

Take it away and you might be pushing up roses instead of smelling them.

 

Well Honey if you go I go with you. It is very seldom that you get to ride solo now but I love you for the fact that you love that I love to ride. If we go to biker heaven on the road at least we will be together. Hope when we get there that we get a new bike to cruise the golden streets on! Oh Slacker 8 is my hubby for any who didn't know.
