I was asked for pics for the velco strap mod I made for the XTS so here they are....No need for the red loop which doesn't do much anyway.

 

Nice mod on that strap. I've got an XTS and just like you and many others, I've noticed the little red elastic loop thingie (technical term - don't get confused) doesn't always keep the excess strap from flopping around. Now all I have to do is find a sewing machine...

or maybe just take one to dinner!

 

Local dry cleaner or tailor will do it too. Use non sticky velcro, they should have it.

Put the soft part on the strap end so it doesn't scratch your neck & make the loop part under your neck longer so you can adjust it. They should do this on all helmets. Wait, I'm rich!!!! LOL
