Does anyone really own a hd ford that rides?? and cabela's ,i thought they were a better company than that. Bring back the straight 6&5 speed and the basic v=8 5speed. at a price thats real. If i won a hd ford i would take the buy out.

No wonder the Japanese continually smoke our U.S. manufactuers! Always behind the curve...

And what's the co-branding for? Is HD getting into the truck market? Couldn't one just buy a cheaper, non-HD edition truck and put a $1 HD sticker on the back window?
Here's another view: just about anyone who makes their living with a truck (think landscaper, plumber, carpenter, etc) is driving a US made 1 ton diesel dually truck. There are no offerings from any import maker that compete in this category. If you tow heavy rigs, the F450 makes sense because it comes with bigger brakes, etc. These new models are just trim levels on the base model that could appeal to anyone who is using the truck for work and play. I currently have a ford F350 deisel and an older Chevy 3500 454 gas dually tow vehicles for my business that I could not live without.

How about an HD model that actually has enough room to haul a bike?

Steveh326

I guess some people don't realize that Ford trucks outsell Chevy and Dodge combined.

A truck of any type isn't going to be for everyone but like Steveh326 mentions, there are MANY people in different types of business that need this type of vehicle.

RVers' also need these big trucks and people towing toyhaulers.

And for the record, a full dressed motorcycle WILL fit in the back of a Ford Truck with the tail gate down.

I wouldn't give up my Superduty truck for anything. But of course in this day and age I don't take it out for a Sunday drive.

steven326. Not that many years ago guys that needed something to haul heavy would by the international and fuso trucks, some regular cab some 4 door set up for work and play like these little motor ford 450/550 and chevy's and the like, do it with pickup box's or aluminum flat beds and side boxes. Good look'n trucks with 1,000,000 mile warranties. I moved to nc all i now see is ford and chevy haul'n horses or cows and hay. Still see real trucks setup to haul big dollar rigs with the frieghtliner and internationals .And they don't cost anymore or as much as ford/chevy.
rydermike, how much room you need i to have hauled harleys in the back of what use to be aextended cab short box and a toyota regular cab with the gates down. Tire just sets on the area between the gate and bed. Put it in to the corner and haul a dresser in a 8" box with the gate up. dyna will go just straight in.

How many remember your folks maybe haul'n a big camper or goose neck trailer with a 3/4 ton truck and a 350 or 454 with all of 210hp and 285 hp. Hauled them things all over the country. My dad in his early years was a welder that hauled a 32' trailer with a hudson hornet and a straight 6. You know trailers were heavy and brakes were bad . Now we have to have a turbo desil super dupper truck that get the same kind of milage towing and spends more time in the shop.
