Default Vega Helmets anyone?

Thinking about getting this lid.... can't beat the price with a stick and DOT approved.

I have a couple new Vega modular helmets. Very nice and sturdy and you can't beat their price. Check www.newenough.com. They had the best helmet prices last time I was looking. Good luck.

I have their half-helmet model with the vents in front (that don't seem to do anything.) It fits great and looks even better.

For the money the Vega's are good helmets,, I have a 1/2 Vega, fits good and for a DOT not super heavy,, I've been thinking about a modular for winter riding if I don't pull out my old 3/4 again.

I picked up the this helmet a month ago and am really happy with it. There is no buffetting and it is much lighter than my skid lid. The shape is a little oblong but the fit is great. Definitely less mushroom head than the skid lid or my HD helmet.

I have it and it's great. Light & comfy. 1 drawback is the strap end has no snap or loop to hold it from flapping around. I took mine to a seamstress & she put a 1" piece of loop velcro on the strap end & a 2" piece of the soft part under my chin. I pull the end tight & attach it to the part under my chin. Invisible. To take it off I loosen it until the velcro hits the D ring & slide it off my head. I don't have to completely disconnect the strap. Cost was $3.00.

Great!

Thanks for the replies everyone... have a trip to Nebraska next month so I will be needing a lid since Nebraska has helmet laws.

Many thanks!
