Talking Cheap Mod

Was messing around the garage this weekend looking for something to do to the bike. Looked at the original air cleaner that I no longer use, cut the center out with a Dremel rounded the edges on a bench grinder, and mounted it with an 1/8" piece of rubber cut from a plumbing coupling. What you guys think? Cheap Mod

Just don't like the tabs that remain on the backing plate - snip those puppies off and it would be awesome. Good work!

Yep, it's already been done before, and here I thought I had an awesome original idea

I agree, but I'll probably still use the V&H cover on most days. This was just me playing on a Saturday night with a six pack

Do you ever ride in the rain? What then?

Got caught in the rain this past Sunday. She spits and shiits a lot. The original V&H cover isn't a lot better than full open. We eventually stopped and covered the filter with a plastic bag.

I've always wondered about this. For those bikes with exposed air filters; How is the filter's ability to flow air affected once the filter gets wet?

Oh, MTBlood: Nice work, that looks pretty trick!
