Default 02 Fatboy-Clearcoat on wheels?

Does any one know if there is clear coat on the wheels on a 2002 Fatboy? I wanted to know if I could use a bare aluminum cleaner on them or maybe a polish.

I'm pretty sure they are bare. Are you thinking of polishing your wheels, or just the clearcoat?

My 2003 FatBoy wheels are just 'bare', as I haven't noticed any clearcoat on them.....

I would assume the 2002's are the same.

Testing them for clearcoat is easy. Take some aluminum polish like Mothers and rub a small area. If your polishing rag gets black right away they are not clearcoated. Try it on your stock levers if they're not chrome and you'll see what I mean.
