Default Help!

2006 883 sportster, here's the problem, twice now while make a slow left hand turn from a stop engine cuts off and stalls lights stay on. key has to be turned into off position and then back on and bike starts again, wire connections seem to be solid, engine both times were warm and operating fine for miles before occuring, any ideas? any help or ideas is appreciated

Are you leaning too far over when you turn? I think there may be a kill switch if the bike leans to far, not certain though.

Maybe give it a little gas while letting the clutch out. Just kidding of course. Never experienced that.

Was the bike warm or was it HOT?

bike is warm not hot, my step mom runs it, it is her first bike so i wouldn't think that she would feel comfortable enough to activate a lean switch

I would suspect bank angle switch or a wire grounding out.

I think the lean kill switch goes at 45 degrees. If it was just a normal stall you shouldn't need to turn the key off and on. Maybe possible the lean switch is out of whack?

Where is this angle switch you speak of?

The bank angle sensor is part of the TSM/TSSM. On the Sporty, it shuts off the bike if the lean angle is over 45* for a certain amount of time (1 sec I think).
