My favorite pic of last week. Looking into Silverton.

I heard yesterday that it was snowing at the Winter Park Rally, and a Veterans Recognition Parade that was scheduled had been 'snowed out'.

Apparently they had a Poker Run on the 15th (Friday), and the participants ran into hail..

Not fun at all...

I agree. Have you considered Southern California?

I don't know. Isn't it almost time for the first dump of snow in Calgary?

You know, this is a beautiful country and every place has it's benefits, so I'd never bad mouth anyone's choice. But I couldn't live where you've got snow in the summer. We get a little of everything here in southern Ohio, but I probably only miss about 3 to 4 weeks riding, tops in a year. Usually the last couple of weeks in Jan and the first couple in Feb. Snow in Aug? I'm outa there!

You know, I saw some clouds over the mountains today? I wonder if the weather is going to get bad. Never mind, it was gone after ten minutes. Guess we can still ride for a few more days. Wait, I think we can ride right through what passes for winter around here. Snow in August? We don't even get snow in January!

Snow in August??? Time to move, not put the bike up. We do not have a "riding season" here in So Cal thank goodness.

Snow in august, pretty rough luck. Are you at a high altitude? I think the best riding is between 40-50 degrees. Air cooled engines seem to agree. It's cool enough to wear a jacket without sweating. Bugs are few and far between. Snow isn't fun though. Or hail.
