Cycle World had a pretty good article on this a couple of issues ago. The owners/managers of Indian do realize that the economy will not support their product, they are going after the "executive" types that will always have disposable income and don't mind spending it to have the latest toy. Same crowd that would buy a Chris Craft boat, or a Ferrari, etc. Each bike is basically hand-built, no assembly line action in their very small factory. The engine is not from S&S, it is the Indian "PowerPlus" motor that they developed before they went teats-up last time. The new company bought the rights and all the tooling to make the motor.
BTW, somewhere else on here, there's a picture of the new Injuns with a NASCAR style trailer in the background selling Indian t shirts, jackets, etc. If the bike costs 35+ large, I wonder what a t shirt goes for? Oh, but that's only for the "executive" types. LOL
Hey whatever. They sure are nice looking bikes. Not sure about the business idea. Stay tuned. I guess.

Always loved the big sweepin fenders of the old Indians...glad they kept 'em. Think they made it to market a little late tho...'specially with that pricin...lotta RUBs already losin attention span and sellin off their garage jewelry for the next fad. Maybe Indian'll get lucky and be that next fad...who knows.
