Default fogged up face shield

Cold weather is coming and I wear a full face on the ride to work when it's below 50 or so. Problem is my face shield fogs up terrible, worse yet with moisture in the air.Unless I hold my breath under 30 mph. There must be some way to prevent this? A different shield? Some crazy rain-x stuff? (I know rain-x doesn't go on lexan)

I get a similar problem with my full-face helmet. I even have one of the fog shield inserts which helps, but doesn't solve it. I've gotten into the habit of cracking my visor open by one notch when I'm going less than 30 mph. That seems to be enough airflow to cure it. Above 30 mph, it seems to clear fast enough to not be a problem.

If anyone has a permanent solution, I'd be interested to know it!

Try a dirt bike shop. They have a defogger that will solve your problem. We used it on plastic goggles so it should work on the shield with no problem.

When I was scuba diving I would spit in my mask, rub it in and rinse it out....This helps but may not be practical for you..Unless you happen to have a drooling dog handy.

On a more serious note, washing the inside of the visor with dish detergent several times may help. I used to have to do this whenever I would get a new mask to reduce or eliminate the fogging. I heard it had something to do with the oil film from the mfg process that helped fog form.

One time i saw a show and some guys selling a little red stich "anti fog". it worked wonders on my car windshield inside but then I lost it. If some one know what it is?...it is possible it is just wax, try that trick..

My windshield fogs up in the morning so bad I can't see through it. I can wipe it all off and in 4 to 5 miles it happens again
