Just wonderin what guys think of the show Build or Bust. I'm not a big fan of the OCC thing (but at least its a show about bikes).
Build or Bust keeps me watching though it might be because I like the Exile style.

I watched it a couple times and while I like the exile style choppers and Russel Mitchel , I hate the way the producer likes to chime in with his attitude from behind the camera. That annoys me.

 

I like the show. Did you see last week when the guy got his hand stuck in the mill? Ooch, gotta be carefull in the shop.

 

I like the show
I like the bikes that are built there
I like Russel
I love the burnouts at the end

But
I hate that pompous clown behind the camera

 

If that is all that is on, then I'll watch it, I like most of his bikes, but not all..about the only builder that I really liked was Indian Larry, I liked his style better, but I have been rideing and building since in the 50s, when that was what we built..I really do not like the new styles, art work they are, but, as far as I'm concerned not for me..that is not to say that you all can't like them, just that I really think a motorcycle should look like a motorcycle..

 

Agreed. Good show, great concept. Russell is a cool cat. The producer (Dave?) is most annoying. I think I would have to pop him if I were on the show, but I bet that that is disqualifying.

 

Overall I like the show and continue to watch. For a while they were letting anyone who could fog a mirror on the show and so 9 out of 10 or 10/10 could'nt make it happen. Lately they had a little better success rate. I like the guy behind the camera because he does raise the level of tension. He is obnoxious, doesn't take any **** but he also seems fair. So what.............. its all a part of the show. I give it high marks.

 

it sucks...i'm a chopper guy ...built some...owned some...knew some of the big names when they werent so big...know one of the contestants, he did work his *** off and won...jesse rooke would git his *** kicked for his insolence...and mr producerman, can eat $hit

 

I'm with you Bear64.

I sort of like the Exile style and it's very clever to hide stuff but for me I like to see nuts, bolts, cables and all that makes a bike work.

As Indian Larry said once 'It's all about the mechanicalness of it all'.
