Hey folks I just got my HOG stuff in the mail and was wondering about the pros and cons of the Group.I know some of you are members and thought yall could give your input on this question.I have always rode for my love of riding and am not sure if I want to be an active member because I do'nt know anything about the group.I've heard a few things but I would like to be clear.I guess what I'm asking is how many got in and stayed and how many of you was in and did'nt like it and got out and why.

Your feed back would be appreciated.

Was more active in our group a few yeas back, dont care for the present leadership , so we sit back and let the newbies jump in. After you make some friends its alot of fun. Politics get in teh way of ridin.

 

As long as your chapter has a good group of folks, you'll have a blast...

My Local chapter is a great group!

Its enjoyable to participate.

 

My wife and I belong to our local chapter and use it to meet new riders. Have made many friends whom are riding partners too. We have members for the last 3 years and do participate in some of their rides. A great way to meet new riders.

I'm waiting to get my stuff in the mail and can't wait to go to a meeting. I hear we have a good chapter here. I'll go...meet a few people...like some...maybe not like some...maybe opinions will change over time. Anyway, it's a good chance to not only meet people, but join in some Poker Runs and do some service work. If'n it's not my cup of tea, I won't ask for seconds and I'll go find a coffee pot somewhere.

corvette clubs cured me of joining groups, what a bunch of snobs!

 

I think you get as much or as little as you want from these groups. We have lots of great people in our HOG group, and there is always something to do if you want to..otherwise- head off in your own direction!

We like our group OK, they seem to be undergoing some changes. Most of the riders are much older than we are, but it's still a lot of fun. We're hoping that if we stick it out, some riders that aren't old enough to be our Grandparents will join. But still, they are a great bunch, and aside from some good natured kidding, they have been nothing but great to us.
