I just received an e-mail from Stormy Hill HD in Clermont saying that they are going to be carrying Piaggio/Vespa Scooters. Seems like an odd relationship to me.

Vespa's ROCK!

 

They have scooters in Cool Springs HD in TN now. Not sure what brand.

 

Vespa is made by Piaggo, owned by MV Augusta, owned by HD. Make sense now? You'll probably see more of this. Scooters are getting to be a hot item. And Vespa is the HD of the scooter world. It gets people and families into the dealership. Buy the kid a Vespa and Dad drools over the Harleys, you never know what might happen.

 

My local dealer is supposed to be getting a Vespa franchise.

 

Think I read something some time back about HD buying Piaggo if so it would make sence for them to start selling them at selected dealers.

Will make for some interesting bike nights.

Where did you find that info? I can't find anywhere that Agusta owns Piaggio, though I found where Piaggio had possibly invested in Agusta several years ago.
