Here's a glimps into the future... Car dealerships can't and won't be able to unload those huge gas guzzling SUV's and huge trucks. They can't give em away now. Same scenario for the big bike as more and more commuters see the value in scootin to work on a Vespa. No harm there, but just sayin, our big bikes may become the SUV's of motorcycles in the future. That got a rise out of ya, eh? (I'm CDN)

Th increases in gasoline will cause an influx of more and more of the scooters, makes good business sense to carry them, and I don't think that is a bad thing. The more two wheeled vehicles on the road the more people will be aware of them. and the larger the number of people riding two wheels the more power we as riders will have in Washington and local governments as well. I don't think we're going to see a tons of those things on the showroom floor. Probably just a couple for demos and the people that have to have one right now. Remember that Stormy Hill is also a dealer for Buell and I haven't ever seen even one of those on the floor!

Vespa is made by Piaggo, owned by MV Augusta, owned by HD. Make sense now? You'll probably see more of this. Scooters are getting to be a hot item. And Vespa is the HD of the scooter world. It gets people and families into the dealership. Buy the kid a Vespa and Dad drools over the Harleys, you never know what might happen.
Piaggo is not owned by MV, it's a publicly listed company on the Milan stock exchange. Vespa is owned by Piaggo as are Moto Guzzi and Aprilia amongst others.
