Default Passenger pegs won't stay up

After changing my pegs to the HD Airfoil ones, my passenger pegs won't stay up. The bolts I used are the the ones that have a threaded sleeve with the bold threading into the sleeve. I believe that the bolts are a HD part. I reused the spring steel looking D shaped spacer.

Any advice on how I can fix this and keep my pegs up?

Thanks,

Mark

Take that D shaped thing, bend it a little, and stick it back in there. Worked for me.

Viagra, but if they stay up more than 4 hours call your mechanic.

+1 - I had the same problem and was going to replace all the spring steel things on my pegs. That was until I found out how proud HD is of those nothing, unfinished, pieces of dung. $3.00 ea. is pretty steep for someting not worth more than 5 cents.

And does it matter which side the D shaped spring goes on?

I did the same thing and have had no more probles with the pegs staying up.

The spring thing is on the underside of the pegs on mine.
