Went riding.
Well I took her out today....BURRRRRRR, with the wind its only about 28 degrees here in Gurnee, IL. I put about 20 miles on her, riding to work, and back. It was a blast though. No salt on the roads, and just an overall decent day to ride.

I just came back from a 60 mile ride just for coffee, on my Triumph..it is 43 degrees out, have no idea what the wind chill is, and really don't care, the ride was fun! I just needed to get out and go...I do have enough cold weather rideing gear that it was not bad...!
OOPS, forgot to say I'm in Iowa!! but the sun was out and that makes it seem warmer..

Yeah. I Just bought the bike, so my Uncle gave me his Leather jacket (he went out and got a new one), and his half-cut leather gloves. I was fine, it was just my fingers that were about to fall off! I will probably for sure be taking her out next weekend, supposed to be upper 40's, low 50's.

Next weekend, I may take a ride up to the dealer and see how much they are going to charge me to have the Forward Controls installed on the 1200 Low.

Wow, when you buy a new bike, or get a new bike, its never to cold to go for a ride, when we got our FLHT new in Oct. of 1998 we rode all winter, but the winter of 98-99 wasn't to bad, but now, I can't get the wife out untill it gets into the 60s so I understand your wanting to get out and go....Good for you!!

Good to hear that you had a chance to ride a little even though it was cold. I had a similar experience today. I think that we will both be happy when it gets warmer so the ride will be more enjoyable.
