I was just curious what the longevity of the TC88 motors seems to be. So, if you have had your motor rebuilt, how many miles did it have on it at the time? If you have more than 50,000 miles with no rebuild, I'd like to hear about that too.

I have 37,000 trouble free miles on mine and I am just wondering if a rebuild is in my near future.

I've got 67,000 on my 2001 RKC. No problems.

 

I know many guys with the 88's that have 100,000 trouble free miles (besides the normal stuff).

There is no answer to your question, as it really depends on how well the bike is maintained, riding conditions, your own riding style, and the 'luck of the draw' in having an engine that was assembled just right at the factory.

 

same here. there are a couple with over 125K. I have 68K on my 2001.

 

I have 53,000 on my 2000 road king classic....still runs great,but i did have to replace the cam chain tensioners at 49,000 though
