I learned that lesson back in the 70's...tie those things up in mega knots or tuck 'em in the side out of the way....

When I first hired out on the Railroad in 71 they use to issue elastic straps to wrap aroud our pants legs to cover our boot laces and keep the pants cuffs wraped tight around the top of the boots tight as not to get caught on the ladders or foot holds when riding on the sides of freight cars when switching them out in the yards. I retired now and towards the end of my career haven,t seen them around or used. I was thinking the same about my boot laces and jean cuffs. I tuck in the laces after a double knot. I wonder if some co still makes these elastic straps. Any one know ? I was going make them my self if I can get the elastic materal.

Same thing happened to a club brother who wore lace-up boots. We hit the stop sign at the end of an off ramp and he couldn't put his right foot down.

Thumbs up

Uncle sam taught me years ago to tuck in anything that's loose. Shoe strings, straps, or anything else that could get wrapped up.

Glad you didn't dump the bike

Default sneakers are retired from the bike

Well after hearing all that wisdom about my sneakers I have decided to retire them from ever riding a motorcycle again. Now I hear that pants cuffs will do the same thing. Does that mean I have to wear my boots with shorts?
