I have a 2006 Dyna Super Glide Custom with a gas cap that you need to flip a lever up, twist, and then lift it. I kind of wedge in between my seat and my crotch. I'm always afraid I'll scratch my tank (or my crotch) one of these days.

I've seen the Gas Cap Hanger (http://www.mightywarlock.com/gascaph...e/Welcome.html) and I really like the idea but it does look like it would not work on my cap.

Where does everyone put it while gassing up?

 

on top of the pump. why risk scratching anything?

 

Uh.......I just put it on top of the gas pump til I'm done. Kinda sounds like you are filling up while sitting on the bike??

 

I just set mine on top of the pump, since I am staring at it when I get back on, not much chance of forgetting it.

 

I sit my gas cap on top of the pump too when I'm gassing up.

I put mine on the seat, that way for sure I will not lose it, but then that means you have to get off of the bike.

 

Always on the seat, it just seems to work for me.

 

I put mine in my vest or jacket pocket.
