I'm in the market to sell my existing bike privately to an individual and then buy another used bike from an individual party.


Most of us know when the best time of the year is to buy a new bike from a dealer.

But when would be the best time of the year to buy and sell used bikes?

Best time to sell is in the Spring! Best time to buy is in the Fall or Winter! But, the market is abnormal right now. Some areas,bike sales are hot right now because of high fuel prices and other areas all sales are slow because of the economy. All you can do is give it a shot! My 2 cents!

 

Selling,&nbsp\\;early spring when folks start getting the itch.&nbsp\\;
Buying, late fall when folks are thinking of the long winter unable to ride.

In Texas we ride almost year round.&nbsp\\; Maybe 1-2 months are cold. Bikes seem to sell all year long and bike sales are really hot now.&nbsp\\; I have had two friends sell bikes at full asking price in only 1 day after listing.

 

IMHO, selling a used bike, and buying a used bike would be two different seasons? l.ray

Best time to sell is 10 years ago.
