Yeah, that jacket on ebay is the biggest pos. Patchwork crap. Got something like it from a distant relative for christmas a couple years back. Junk. They take the trimmings from other stuff and sew them together. NFG. Your gonna have to buck up for something that you won't mind being seen in.

Buy the best you can afford. I wear Langlitz now but when younger and poorer I wore whatever I grabbed.

If ya got the money and can afford the price tag, spend on....Unfortunately I have to live on a budget and got an Excelled jacket for $65 at the Navy Exchange.....That was in '84 but the jacket still sees service when the temp creeps below 45-deg.....Only YOU can make that decision!

My Harley dealership has a great selection. All different styles. Good quality. They all have a slightly different fit. I think you would be better off trying them on to see what feels best to you, rather than ordering on online. I did not consider my $400 jacket a rip-off. It should last me forever, so I bought one I could be proud of (just like I am of my Harley).

If you want a nice cool loking leather, buy the one at the dealership. If you don't want to pay that kind of $$ go to any leather shop, mall, flea market, what-ever & grab the garment & ask yourself, "will this help me in a wreck?".
Yes the black leather is cool but the "biker" wardrobe isn't a fashion statement but a practical way of dressing in case of a lay down.

yes I own one no it is not a pos.
if you plan on falling a lot I would pick something else
if you just want a leather jacket to keep warm and that is what I wear mine for..
I never dress to crash or I would not be riding..
all that said if you do go down yes the jacket will be ruined for sure I'm guessing a 450$ jacket woun't fair a whole lot better but you may be able to reuse it and for that kind of money you should be able to.
buy what you can afford.. myself unlike a lot of the posters here don't have alot of money to spread around so yes I am cheap..
