I do it all the time,the rules of the road dictate: slower traffic stay to the right.Too many Dead from the neck ups,don't know left from right I guess.So they leave us with no other choice.

 

In Colorado it is definitely illegal. Buddy got busted for it not long after we were outsourced here from Phoenix. Ever since, I notice everyone does it. I will stay back, never know when someone coming other direction is going to turn left on ya.

 

I pass on the right all too often as a matter of self preservation. Did you ever notice that when most cages making a right turn pull out infront of you, the swing out all the way to, and sometimes crossing, the center line? That leaves a lot of room on the right for a motorcycle going the speed limit. (Bikes Lanes are alway on the right also! )

 

Legal up here as well, but I belive you are liable in the event of an accident if your passing on the right.

 

&nbsp\\;last summer I had some ahole pass me on the right he had one tire in the bicycle lane and the other up on the side walk.

 

I got pulled over last summer for it. I crossed the white line, cop said if I didn't cross, it would have been OK. Didn't give me a ticket. I was in my car at the time.
