I went through the same thing.&nbsp\\; What to do... what to do?&nbsp\\; I finally broke down and bought one (a Harley).&nbsp\\; I do not regret it.&nbsp\\; I LOVE that I bought a Harley and not a Metric.&nbsp\\; For my money.... it's not only the best bike on the road, but everyone wishes they rode one.

 

I've owned bikes for 35 years and I'm happiest on the first Harley I bought in 05.

 

I earlier posted that you should rent one and then buy one. After further thought, I say you don't need to try one out. If you think that you want one, you do. Buy the damn thing and live happily ever after. I have never rented a bike nor have I ever taken a new Harley on a test ride before buying it. The first new Harley that I bought (1978 FXS) I asked the dealer if I could take it for a ride. He said no and I said OK I'll take it. It has been a thirty year love affair. End of story.

This site is frustrating,just finished a nice post only to have it whisked away to cyberspace.

 

Second try!!!!! It is very hard to understand why people feel they have to critizise a product,when so many of us that love them so.I have owned litterally dozens of Harleys over my 45+ yrs in the saddle and not one of them caused me any distress.When a problem pops up I fix it.Done deal,whining and complaining seems so child like.

 

I am at work now trying to post, I am unable to post on my home computer.
