morgantown is great...from late august to early april (WVU...LETS GO MOUNTAINEERS)
31 days and counting.....(season ticket holder). \\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;
Got tickets for the Pitt game which is in Pittsburgh this year. Much easier ticket than trying to get home game tickets yet only 1 1/2 hour away. But I now have Direct HD and a new HD TV for watching the other games. :-)

I left Morgantown during mountainfest to go on a two day ride. I missed seeing the vintage display though.

Have a great ride, and time, Steve! FWIW do not speed in Nicholas County WV, especially Summersville. The rest of the state is OK for the most part.

Nine of us went there for our first trip and we liked it. Yea, the beer was expensive but they know people will pay for it.

Did you happen to see the black Street Glide with red ghost flames in front of the tent at Triple S Harley ? That bike really looked good and I didn't have a camera. If you got any pictures of it, please post them.

Mountaineer football?&nbsp\\; Blech.&nbsp\\; I love my home state, but I think WV football is the most overpublicized thing in the state.&nbsp\\; So many other great things here and all we're known for is some drunk frat boys playin' ball.

We have been to Mountainfest 3 years running.&nbsp\\; We thought it was as good as ever and will be going back next year.&nbsp\\; Try the ride from Oakland MD to Grafton WV via route 50.&nbsp\\; That is some of the best riding in the east.&nbsp\\; The Coal Bucket Saloon was perfect.&nbsp\\; I barely noticed the bar construction with all the other scenery.

You know this thread is kinda funny... Some hate the Mountainfest others loved it. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
The glass can either be 1/2 empty or 1/2 full - depends on your perspective I guess...

Be safe and have a great time in WV. Also, be sure to eat at a great restaurant named "Dirty Ernie's." Their ribs are amazing and it's right at the end of the bridge (Keller Ave.). FABULOUS!&nbsp\\;

As one of those "drunk frat boys," I resent that remark. ha ha.

Wink

We had fun.
This was the third trip down for my mister, and my first.
Was also my first hot buns contest...or any contest in general. ;-)
Who cares what the bar was made out of? It was a bike rally not a permanent fixture.
We will most certainly be back next year!! Ciao
