What is the largest thing you have hit or run over on your bike? I know plenty of people have hit deer. Anyone hit anything larger (excluding cars)? My insurance guy went down when he hit a possum. I talked to a guy that said he rode right over a raccoon.

So what’s the biggest thing you have hit or run over (e.g. animals, debris, car parts etc)?

 

I hit a road gator

 

I kicked one of those orange and white barrels on a detour on the foothills parkway a few weeks ago to keep from hitting it with my highway bars. They really mean 15 mph on that one. Good thing I wasn't going faster I think it would have broken my foot. Other than that just a few pieces of tire gators.

 

I had a sparrow hit me in the chest going 70mph, damn thing almost knocked me off the bike.

 

I hit a Peterbilt at 50 mph.

 

also had a june bug nail the bridge of my glasses and oozed into my eyes while I was on a freeway.
